Coin de mire

Situated 8 km off the north coast of Mauritius, Coin de Mire, also called Gunner Quoin, is a small islet covering 65 hectares with a highest point of 142 meters. It is a nature reserve as with remains of some of the primary vegetation such as Bois de Chandelle, la Liane Bambaras, le Bois de Clous among others. Although visit are not allowed, you take a picture while on your catamaran trip with the island as background. A number of native birds can be seen flying around the Coin de Mire such as the well-known pailles en queue.
