Chamarel View Point
Why Chamarel View Point
Chamarel is an exotic village on the South west of Mauritius and has one of the most breathtaking views on the island. It is named after Frenchman Charles Antoine de Chazal de Chamarel, who lived there around 1800. The lush greenery spread to the aquamarine blue ocean with sightings of the Le Morne Brabant on the left and La Tourelle du Tamarin on the right, will make one experience the most panoramic view.
Location
Situated in the Black River district, Chamarel is located near the Le Morne village and Tamarin. The Viewpoint Chamarel is situated nearby to the peak Piton du Canot and the waterfall; Chamarel Falls. The most scenic landscapes will unfold in front of you at the lookpoint with the mountainous lines, the ebony forest, the diverse hues of the ocean or even sightings of the exotic birds and animals.
The small village is a natural heritage with lush green foliage, picturesque views and natural attractions like the 7 Coloured Earth, Ebony Forest Reserve or Chamarel Waterfalls.
Tip
To better enjoy your tour, we recommend sunglasses, hat and camera to capture the alluring panorama of Chamarel.
