Whether you wish to celebrate your religious and/or civil wedding in Mauritius, our dedicated wedding plannner is here to assist you in the preparation from the paperwork to your celebration.

Civil Wedding

For your civil wedding, it is important for you to provide us with the following documents at least 2 months before the wedding date:

  • 2 photocopies of each birth certificate. The date of issue of the birth certificate must not be more than 3 months.
  • 2 photocopies of each passport (the 1st three pages only).
  • Relevant documents in respect of divorce, widow/widower or change of name.
  • For a French national, he/she should produce a “Certificat de capacitĂ© de mariage”(please consult French Embassy for more information).
  • A certificate of non citizen and non-resident is issued to the parties in Mauritius after verification of their documents.

If the above requested documents are not in English then they must be translated to English accordingly.

For the finalization of the paperwork, our dedicated team will guide you through the steps, as follow:

  • We will accompany you to the Civil Status office in Port Louis for the verification of your documents.
  • We shall then move to the Attorney-at- law where all the documents will be checked and affidavits will be prepared. You will swear the affidavits at the Supreme Court of Mauritius.
  • Finally, we shall move to the Civil Status Office nearest to the location of the wedding for publication purposes and for the finalization of the wedding time with civil status officer.
